Can I switch from a Non-O visa to a Non-B visa in Thailand, and is my process correct?

Good morning.

Currently on a non o extension of stay based on marriage.

Looking to change to a non b.

I understand that the process to change is:

Cancel the non o

Bounce out and return on a 30 day exemption

Then process to non b application. (Already have the work permit)

The cancellation and application part of the process can be completed at my local (kanchanaburi) immigration.

Do I have this correct please?

Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking confirmation on the steps to change their visa status from a Non-O extension based on marriage to a Non-B visa. They believe that the process involves canceling their existing Non-O visa, exiting the country to return on a 30-day exemption, and then applying for the Non-B visa at their local immigration office in Kanchanaburi, with an existing work permit. Community comments confirm this process, with one suggesting that a work permit is also available under the Non-O marriage visa.

You do know you can get a work permit on a Non-O marriage and you do not give control of your Visa status to your employer?

Totally correct, cancel the extension, bounce out/back and then apply for the new Non-B.

Cancellation and applying for the new Non-B done at the immigration office where you live/work
