A friend of my husband has Non-B visa extension.
1.He wants to quite the job at the current company at the end of March.
2.He will apply for Non-O visa based on marriage with a Thai.
3.He will work for another company/Applying for a work permit.
Can he proceed all these without leaving Thailand? If you can let me know the process would be great.
Thank you very much in advance.
TLDR : Answer Summary
A friend's husband is seeking guidance on transitioning from a Non-B visa to a Non-O visa in Thailand while considering a change in employment. The process involves canceling the current work permit and visa extension, obtaining necessary documents from the existing employer, and applying for the Non-O visa based on marriage to a Thai citizen. He must ensure compliance with financial requirements and pay the extension fee. Once this is completed, he will receive a temporary stamp while awaiting final approval for a yearly extension.
