Hello!! Im posting for a friend.
My friend is a little confused. So he is about to change jobs, cancelled work permit and then went to cancel the visa as he been told. But then he got notified that the Visa wasn't cancelled.
He went to immigration in Bangkok and they told him that as his visa doesnt have the current company's Nme written in it they can make the change to the new employer.
His question is: if turns out that they wont do the change, would he have to go back to his home country (in this case Iran) to make his non-b?
Have anyone had a similar situation?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking clarification on whether a friend needs to return to Iran to apply for a new Non-B visa after changing jobs. Following the cancellation of their work permit, they were informed that their visa, which doesn't list the current employer, might allow them to change to a new employer without cancellation. Community comments suggest that if the Non-B visa is valid and no name is listed, it may be possible to apply for a new work permit instead of leaving the country.
