Brandon is right, this guy has already posted the same issue twice before. There is no reason for that. Also if you don't like Brandon or the group, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

that's because nobody has a crystal ball and can foresee what this or that Immigration officer or consulate staff will decide. You are asking a question no one can answer you with 100% certainty

Penang won’t allow a second tourist visa in a year. You’ll have to use Kota Bahru. Even then they may baulk and say no. Many SE Asia consulates are starting to get strict on this.

thanks for your response!

My sponsor is not understanding that they could be a difference between applying in Penang a second time or a first time in Kota Bharu as both Thai consulate would see that it's my second visa.

Could you please explain why Kota Bharu would be better?

That is important for the incoming travel decision.

why don't you use the Embassy in Vientiane, or the Consulate Savannakhet? As both of them are very user-friendly and lenient on issuing a second tourist visa?

I would have to fly Then Friday. It would be a quick change. Do you think it’s worth it rather than a van trip in 1 day for cheap to Kota Bharu?
