Hello, I applied for a tourist visa to thailand and I have a typo in my name 😭 I want to know if this happened to one of you before and what what do you think it’ll happen?

How the fk do you spell your own name wrong? LOL Fkn retard.......
Country of passport? You might be able to have it corrected at Immigration. Passport number is the crucial ID. Do you hold an e-passport? Have you been to Thailand before? Thailand records your finger prints on entry.
Your visa application will be cancelled and you will have to start over again. Of course, you will lose the application fee also. Yes, it happens to many, don’t worry, you are not the only one not being able to write their name correctly. Next time try check if what you are filling in the blanks is the same with what is written in your passport and you will be fine
My question….as I cannot get a hold of consulate for days now .My airline ticket , passport and application is under my maiden name ….Dutch passport . My banking statements are under the name from my former marriage . I am providing passport photos and photo ID drivers licence and or my PR card of me under the name from marriage .Will I have a problem with receiving the visa ? I understand that immigration is very picky , difficult for getting a single entry visa ?Or should I just by an airline ticket out of Thailand under the 30 days and go to immigration in Thailand for extension ? I need prove of visa or onward travel because of AirCanada rules.Thank you very much for any help or suggestions of what is best .
Will likely be rejected and have to re-apply. Very important to check properly all the information before submission, though I am sure you know this already now
A typo in your name on a Thailand tourist visa application doesn’t necessarily mean your application will be rejected, so don’t panic just yet. 😟
The most important thing is how the name is misspelled.
- One letter wrong: It might be possible to correct it, but you shouldn’t assume immigration will overlook it.
- Middle name missing or a minor spelling difference: The outcome depends on the details and the issuing authority.
- First name or surname significantly different from your passport: This is more likely to cause problems when your visa and passport are checked.
My advice is to contact the Thai embassy, consulate, or visa application service handling your application as soon as possible. Ask whether they can amend it or whether you need to submit a new application. Don't submit another application or pay another fee until you know what they recommend.
The official Thai e-Visa guidance is quite strict: incorrect names can lead to rejection or cancellation, and fees are generally non-refundable. Some Thai embassies explicitly state that submitted applications cannot be amended.

You can read the official guidance here: Royal Thai Embassy — Common e-Visa Mistakes.
DaringSloth7084 I apply to the USA Los Angeles office and have been approved within about 2 weeks when not rejected, I got rejection back in about a week
Graham Seal I was advised against re-applying instantly instead I was told that I have to wait for the visa to get rejected and then reapply. I was also told that there might be achance that they’ll ask me to correct my application
On my first application, I let the system take my data from my passport. It put a number zero instead of the letter O in my last name and got rejected. Sucks cause it was done by the system and not by me and I couldn’t tell the difference.
Im guessing you’ll face a similar fate.
Edit: Sorry mine was on the DTV. Not sure if the process is the same for tourist visa.
