TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the experiences of individuals who have applied for new tourist visas in Thailand after having received multiple COVID extensions. Some participants highlight concerns about visa applications being rejected, particularly by the Singapore embassy, while others share successful experiences either applying for a new visa or entering Thailand under visa exemption. Overall, there seems to be a favorable stance towards admitting tourists as Thailand aims to boost tourism post-COVID.

Stan I had about 7 covid extensions and I have entered 4 times this year visa exempt without any problems. You asked about Visas and that I can’t answer. Only visa exempt. The reason that Thailand has extended the visa exempt from 30 days to 45 is to increase tourism. So their main interest is to admit tourists. In 2019 there were nearly 40 million tourists now Thailand is not close to that number.

I had no problem whatsoever. Though I have been abroad for almost 3 months after COVID extensions before getting back into Thailand.

Read recently that Singapore embassy will reject such applications. No direct experience.

they finished issuing them on August 24th. If you got one it was good for 60 days.

how long do covid extensions last

speak to the hospital about getting a medical visa then. The IO is unlikely to give two hoots about your treatment when you've been living here on covid extensions.

Ah ok. Then you quite possibly won’t have an issue. No guarantees but they probably won’t assume you’re working here.

I'm 79 years old. Been doing medical stuff while I'm here which isn't finished. I can document it

If you think about it from their perspective few tourists would stay for a year or more without some form of income - which means you could be working here illegally.

Airports generally more strict than land borders. If they’ll let you in you’d get 45 days (after October 1st) but expect issues.

Stuart... What do you think of doing a visa run by Air after 4-5 covid extentions? Would I get the 45 days entry?
