Do the visa exemption requirements still apply when entering Thailand with a Non O visa?

Hi All,

So in January I will be leaving and returning to Thailand for the first time since getting my Non O extended and I have a question that I can't find a clear answer to on Google and I was wondering if anyone here could help out. Under the Visa exemption rules you are supposed to have 10k baht or equivalent currency, a flight leaving Thailand and booking details of where you are staying in Thailand. My question is are all of these still a requirement when entering with a Non O, are some still applicable or do they not apply to a Non O? If anyone knows the answer or has experience of being asked any of these while on a Non O the assistance would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
When entering Thailand with a Non O visa, the standard visa exemption requirements—including having 10,000 baht (or equivalent), flight booking, and accommodation details—do not apply. Holders of a Non O visa do not need to provide these upon entry. However, it is crucial for them to have a re-entry permit if planning to leave and return to Thailand.

You are holding a nonO the requirements of visa exempt (onward ticket, cash 20k,hotel bookings )does not apply to you....u need to ensure you have a re entry permit before u leave the country.....never have any problems coming into thailand when ever the immigration officer saw my nonO extension and re entry permit hardly carry cash (just some loose change)

You have your non o bank deposit. Dont need outbound flight as you have a longterm visa. You may even have an address as a rental or residence you used to apply for extension. So those requirements are only for visa exempt.

I confirm 20k baht.

None of this is required with a non-O visa.

Also, entering as a tourist is 20,000 baht or equivalent in another major currency, in cash only. Not 10k.

Cheers, i was pretty convinced the accommodation and exit flight wouldnt be required but was unsure about the cash. I actually always carried 20k baht with me, not sure why I put 10k.
