ORIGINAL POSTER
I have a certificate from the Swedish Embassy in Bangkok about my income in Sweden. It is written in English, should it be translated into Thai and stamped by the MFA in Bangkok as well? This document is important for my application to extend my visa to one year. Non-Immigrant O.family.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The applicant has a certificate of income from the Swedish Embassy in Bangkok, written in English, and is inquiring if it needs to be translated into Thai and stamped by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) for a visa extension application. Responses indicate that translation is generally not required for embassy-certified income documents, but local immigration offices may have varying requirements, including the possibility of needing MFA legalisation and original documents for verification.

The standard income letter issued by the embassy normally does not need to be translated, but some immigration offices require MFA legalisation for the first extension. Some also require you to present the original documents on which the income confirmation is based.

That's not normally a requirement for embassy certified income. That being said, each immigration office is different. So only your local immigration officer can tell you whether they'll accept your certificate or not.
