Arrival experience on DTV (3rd time, so 1 year since approval)
I was checked in Suvarnabhumi, they took me to the checkpoint for the interview. On my passport was sticker with note about 2nd in-out. They specifically asked me about how I work, I had my LLC docs, I showed my website (so I assume they wanna know if I work illegally in Thailand or not), they asked if I am married and where is my husband. They didn’t asked about finances. Everything went good, they gave me another 6 month. But it was quite stressfull, took about additional hour.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) holder shared their experience of arriving at Suvarnabhumi Airport, where they were subjected to an interview at the checkpoint. They discussed being asked about their work, the legitimacy of their business, marital status, and received a 6-month extension after the interview, although the process was stressful and took an additional hour. The comments reveal mixed experiences from others, some sharing humorous or skeptical remarks about immigration procedures and questioning the authenticity of certain stories due to anonymous postings.
Many of these stories are true, Immigration is well aware of many fraudulent applications. Currently there's a large number of applications being scrutinized especially in Vientiane and Hanoi.
You're the second person posting today. Since you're posting anonymously you're by definition a liar for most of the "clever" people. The other person posted with a name though. Would be interesting to see the comments.
Who's "they" and how could they have an hour to waste on you? Imagine if this "they" spent an hour on every DTV holder. The queues would never move. Ridiculous!
I just came through BKK too. They took me in the back and asked me to demonstrate a spinning back kick. I had to stretch first but after I did it they stamped me in for another 180 days.
I was actually sternly warned of this possibility when I had an ED visa from my agent. But I was doing Cambodian boarder runs with visa companies so I was never subjected to it.
