TLDR : Answer Summary
When arriving in Thailand for the first time with a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV), you will generally need to show your passport, a printed DTV visa, and a boarding pass. However, while the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) is linked to your passport digitally and may not often be required in print, it's advisable to print it out just in case. Additionally, be prepared to potentially show proof of accommodation, proof of onward travel, and sufficient funds (about 20,000 THB or its equivalent) although not every immigration officer will ask for these documents. It’s best to be over-prepared to avoid any complications.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

WARNING: Only trust Thai government websites with .go.th domains or Thai agent websites with .co.th or .in.th domains, as these require verified Thai registration and cannot be registered anonymously.

The official TDAC form is available at tdac.immigration.go.th, which uses the official .go.th government domain.

The services by AGENTS CO., LTD. does NOT charge any fees for arrivals within 72 hours. If you need to book more than 72 hours in advance, there is a service fee of $8.

Do not trust other sites pretending to be a trustworthy agency. Pay attention to delivery time - the service operated by AGENTS CO., LTD. has 1 minute delivery time for arrivals within 72 hours.

Don't fall for sites pretending to be agents.co.th or the official government tdac.immigration.go.th website. Always double-check the exact domain in your browser.

Scam services may take days to process your application, others may not even do anything. With these TDAC scam services you also need to worry about double charges.

Please watch out for TDAC misinformation spread by fugitive Jesse Nickles and his many fake accounts on Quora, TripAdvisor, Reddit, and other platforms.

Név nélküli résztvevő (801) we recommend A3 or even A2. A4 is jsut for the beginners.

- No need to show the TDAC - the IO sees that on the screen automatically and never asks for it.

- Print out the DTV visa (A3 - laminated or just A4 is fine) and give it together with your passport and boarding pass. The IO likes to scan the QR on your visa print, and it avoids the mistake of giving you the wrong stamp.

- There may be a question about the nature of your DTV for first timers, (for e.g. you work online? You take cooking class? etc.) but it's not a serious one. You'll most likely pass through without any issue.

Laminated DTV works. TDAC is digital and links to your passport and visa number. I printed mine in case.

When the hall at BKK is busy their is no time for questions.

BrilliantZebra7843 Why the laminating? It just makes it a bit more difficult to scan.

I have an A5 print laminated. Have entered multiple times and always had a positive comment from the IO about it

A5 fits neatly into passport and wears better than an A4 piece of paper.

Thailand Immigration CAN ask these questions (I not say, you will be asked)

1. valid and genuine passport

2. IF you got a visa issued, a print out

3. Print of the Thailand Digital Arrival Card tdac.immigration.go.th

4. the Boarding pass

5. Proof of onward travel within the period you get stamped into this country

6. Proof of accommodation

7. Proof of finance, 20.000 Thb (40.000 Thb for family) or equivalent currency in CASH.

Not every visitor is asked to show all 7 points, it all depends on the Immigration Officer, but IF you get asked you have to show. IT saves a lot of time if you are prepared.

Immigration Officers are there for a purpose, they are allowed to ask more question.
