I’m getting mixed information and hope you all can offer some worthy advise. 🙂 We’ve only been here a couple months and just getting our feet wet.
My wife and I just returned from Hanoi with our ED Visas, stamped for 90 days. I gave a copy of our Visas immediately upon our return to our Landlord. He stated that he can report our stay and update our status to immigration.
I then get information from our language school that we should have reported in person to immigration within 24 hours of landing back in CR. They stated that even though our landlord reported us in the system, we still need to go to immigration in person.
I’ve searched the immigration websites for over an hour now with no conclusion, so just thought I’d throw this out here for some thoughts/input. 🤷🏼♂️ Thank you all in advance!
TLDR : Answer Summary
After returning to Thailand with ED Visas, the expat is confused about whether they need to report to immigration in person, given that their landlord has already reported their stay. The language school suggests an in-person report within 24 hours, but comments clarify that the landlord's reporting is sufficient, though some advise checking in at a local police station if outside Bangkok.
