TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a Thai eVisa (tourist, single entry, 60 days), a hold ticket (that includes your name) is sufficient; you do not need a fully paid flight ticket. Additionally, citizens from many countries, such as Vietnam, may not need a visa at all and can receive a 60-day visa exemption upon arrival.

people from Vietnam do not need a visa as you will be stamped in for a free 60 day visa-exempt entry

What passport are you using, most countries are visa exempt for 60 days, stamped in on arrival. No need to do anything

embassy clearly says confirmed tickets. And you can print even fake tickets and it still be accepted, but this don't make it allowed
