TLDR : Answer Summary
Recent changes at Jomtien Immigration require expats to submit a TM47 form, a TM30, and photocopies of their passport for the 90-day reporting. These rules have been updated, with reports indicating that these additional documents are now needed, which has led to some confusion among expats who have not had to submit them since before the COVID-19 pandemic. Some users shared experiences of the changes in process and suggested checking the online submission options, noting that the address on the TM30 must match the one provided in the TM47.

Jomtien office changed their 90 days reporting requirements about 10 days ago.

Been there today. You need photo copies on the list. You can do this 50 baht each. Usually free no hassle. It has changed not for the better.

You can first try to do it online. Important is that your TM30 has the exact same adress than what you fill-in.

You can submit 15 days prior due date (day one is arrival date!).

Tm47 is to confirm that you are on an address residing in Thailand, so it should be no problem to register that you are actually residing in Thailand on an address. Not sure what Covid has to do with staying at an address.

what I said about reporting was that the tm30 and tm47 has not been needed for many years when reporting 90 days but as I said I've been told it now needed when reporting at Jomtien immigration cheers

From the news over a longer period it seems like Jomtien immigration is tired of many many foreigners forget to file a TM30 when they return back home from staying in a hotel elsewhere in Thailand. Most hotels will according to rules file a TM30 for your stay, and then your address in the system is wrong when you forget to file TM30 upon return to home. This error is then discovered when you make 90 days reporting.

... the TM47 IS the 90 day reporting form so you should have completed it each time you did your 90 day report.

I've been reporting my 90 days at Jomtien immigration for the last 17 year's via the TM47 a few years ago they stopped requirement of them and I just handed my passport in and they stapled the receipt of notification in my passport what I want to know have they changed the rules again back to wanting the actual paper TM47 cheers
