If you are on a retirement visa and leave Thailand for a few months, is there any reason to go to immigration in person upon your return? Our landlord/rental agency always updates our TM30 online whenever we’ve been away for short trips.

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you are on a retirement visa and leave Thailand for a few months, you do not need to visit immigration upon your return as long as your landlord updates your TM30. Your landlord or rental agency can file the TM30 online for you, and you only need to go to immigration when your 90-day report is due, which is 89 days after your latest entry into Thailand. Make sure your passport is ready for stamping upon re-entry.

said! I did this not long ago. I would like to add, Be sure to have your passport open to your visa page, make sure they stamp you until the expiration of that visa in passport! Your 90 days starts again. Also very important that you get the TM30 on return into Thailand each time as mentioned already.
