Do I need to go to immigration when returning to Thailand on a retirement visa if my TM30 is updated?

If you are on a retirement visa and leave Thailand for a few months, is there any reason to go to immigration in person upon your return? Our landlord/rental agency always updates our TM30 online whenever we’ve been away for short trips.

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you are on a retirement visa and return to Thailand after a few months, you typically do not need to visit immigration in person as long as your landlord updates your TM30 registration. This is especially the case if you return to the same address. Your next requirement would be your 90-day report, which is due 89 days after your entry stamp.

said! I did this not long ago. I would like to add, Be sure to have your passport open to your visa page, make sure they stamp you until the expiration of that visa in passport! Your 90 days starts again. Also very important that you get the TM30 on return into Thailand each time as mentioned already.

None at all as long as you come back to the prior address, I believe

Nope, if your landlord files a new TM30 on you when you come back into the country there is no need to show up at immigrations

You wouldn't need to go to immigrations until your 90 day report would be due (which is 89 days from the date you stamped in to thailand).
