Do I need to file a TM30 for both hotels and how do I report my stay in Thailand if moving to different locations?

Hello Everyone,

I will arrive in Bangkok on 3rd January and will stay in 2 separate hotels in 2 days.

Then I will take a bus to my wife house in Khemarat Ubon Ratchathani.

Regarding TM30, do I need to ask both hotels to give me receipts for filing? Or do I one from the first one or second one only?

And after going to Khemarat, do I file it again? Since I will be living with my wife in her house I won’t have any lease document as per say.

The most confusing part is what if I travel to another province for let’s say a week or two, do I file it again?

And if I go to immigration for any kind of visa related work or 90 days reporting do I show only the latest receipt for TM30 or all of them?

Thanks,

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the process of filing a TM30 upon arriving in Thailand, specifically if they need to provide receipts from both hotels they will stay at before moving to their wife’s house. They are unsure whether to file again after relocating, how to manage TM30 if they travel to another province, and what documents to present at immigration for visa-related matters.

okay dial the paranoia back a notch or three

When you get to your wife's house go to the immigration office there and file a TM30

Don't worry about the hotel ones at all. It doesn't matter in the least.

When you're at the immigration office filing the TM30 on your wife's house ASK them about domestic travel

What visa/entry stamp are you comin' in on?

Until you're on a long term visa/extension you don't do 90 day reporting

And yes sorry about being paranoid as it’s all very confusing when I tried to find on internet. Doesn’t also help that I will be dealing with country side immigration office and not Bangkok. Although I don’t think it was so paranoiac as you mentioned

just remember that visa works like I outlined, you get a 90 day stamp then you bounce out and back to get a new 90 day entry stamp

@Arpit *******
remember a one year multi-entry Non-O visa based on marriage doesn't let you stay IN the country for a year without leaving.

That visa gives you just a 90 day entry stamp, then when that 90 days is up to you go the border, stamp out of thailand, stamp in and out of another country and right back in to thailand to get a NEW 90 day entry stamp. You do that for the whole year

SO you will NEVER be in thailand long enough to do a 90 day report.

And as I said, go file the TM30 at the immigration office in your area when you get to your primary residence.
