I am on an ED Visa and read that my 1st extension (3 months) is also equivalent or counted as 90 day report.
Is this correct or should I report? Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
When on an ED Visa in Thailand, the first 3-month extension is not counted as a 90-day report. Although they may coincide, you are still required to file a 90-day report as per immigration regulations, especially since the 90-day reporting requirement pertains to long-term stays. Clarifications from immigration officers suggest that while your extension is done every 90 days, reporting is essential as well. It's recommended to check for any official notifications in your passport indicating when your first 90-day report is due.

Update: So picked up my passport with my 2nd extension for my ED visa at Chonburi immigration. Filled out the 90 day report paper and brought it to the immigration desk as my number was called. The immigration officer looked at it and my visa and said I didn't need to do 90 day reports. She said it's for foreigners on 1 year extenions and my extension is every 90 days. My address is reported with my extension.

Shannon that's why you don't do 90 day reporting. You are a on a "special program" that the school worked out with the immigration office :/ That's also why you got a 90 day extension rather than the 60 day one

Sorry, yes I give the school the passport and 4900baht, then I pick it up 2-3 days later from immigration.
no, I asked you IF your school turned in your passport for your extension of stay OR if you went there on your own, AND I asked you if you paid 4900baht for your extension of stay (instead of the 1900baht price it really is).

Yes I am enrolled in a school here.

Are you enrolled at one of those schools that turns your passport in for you? And that gets 90 day extensions where you pay 4900baht for the extension rather than 1900baht for what an extension really costs at the immigration office?

Spj Jaye, the 3 months extension where U go with your school documents to extend another 3 months of stay is different from the 90 days reporting. Your 90 days reporting may or may not be on the same day and may even be just be due few days after your 3 month extension is due. Is this your 1st 3 months extension? If the 90 days reporting and 3 months extension is within few days of each other, U can go for your 3 months extension and also do your 90 days reporting on the same day provided the queue for either one is not too long or crowded.

usually when you get the first extension they put a piece of paper in your passport that says when your FIRST 90 day report is due. Do you have a paper like this in you passport?
if that is your first extension it is definitely NOT late. You would need to do your first 90 day report in August some time.
I just don't know if they're counting the 90 days from the 18th of May (when you got that 14 day under consideration stamp) or from the 23rd of May when they gave you the extension. :/
. It is late already so if it's not counted then it will be a fine. Now just need to decide to report in August and see or go now and report, same fine if it was late.

Unfortunately I can see that it's a Chonburi Immigration stamp :O and for you to be totally sure when it's due I would say go back there and ask them the date the report is due. :/
Sorry about that. :(
If I was to guess I'd say it's due right around the time you go back to get your next extension in August BUT I don't want to say for sure that's it and have you fined 2000baht for not doing your report on time..
