Hello, quick question about the 90 days notification of stay.

I arrived in Thailand on 13 February 2021 (with an exemption of visa into a extension into a in-country ED visa). I have to count the 90 days starting from my arrival date, right? or from the beginning of my ED visa?

I try to do it online here : [members only]

But I stay stuck at the first page : when I click on "submit", it's just reload the page and not take me to "step 2". A bug in their system or I miss something?

Btw, it's the first time ever that I do a 90 days notification of stay (I live in Bangkok). Bonus question : what the fuck is the point of doing that??

TLDR : Answer Summary
The 90-day notification period for your stay in Thailand begins after your first extension on your ED visa, not from your arrival date or previous visa status. You are required to notify immigration within 90 days of receiving your ED visa extension. Initially, as you entered Thailand on a visa exemption, this did not trigger the 90-day reporting requirement. Additionally, the first report must be done in person, and it's advisable to hold onto any TM30 receipt you might have.

What Tod says is accurate as I came in on Tourist Visa and then converted to ED. Because the previous Visa (or visa exempt in your case) you were on did not require 90-day reporting, the timer did not start until you were on a Visa that does require it. When you get your first ED extension they will let you know when your first requirement is.

Your report is due 14 May. You can do 15 days before up to 7 days after. Your first report must be done in person. Just in case it's requested also produce your TM30 receipt.

as a rule you don't get that paper (that starts the 90 day count down) when you get the ED visa issued. You get that paper when you get the first extension from it.

I didn't get any paper in my passport yet. So I suppose I will get it after doing my first extension of stay from my ED visa (next month).

Benny Ben. In that case, you would have been notified by immigration when you got your ED visa as to when you do your 90-day report. There will be a piece of paper with the date on it in your passport

I though that but I quote Tod Daniels : "It's the very first extension of stay you get from that ED visa that starts the 90 day count down clock running."

It's the very first extension of stay you get from that ED visa that starts the 90 day count down clock running. When you apply for the first extension they'll put a paper into your passport that tells you when the 90 day report is due, like this

i believe you must do an inperson report before you can use the application

Yes I just saw that. 🤦‍♂️

90 days in country, so your report would be due 90 days from when you entered

you have not been here long enough to be on an extension of a single entry ed visa ?

so it is a visa, not an extension

I get my ED visa stamped on the 18 March 2021 for 90 days, so it's good until 15 June 2021. Before that I was on a exemption of visa and then a extension of this exemption.
