I am currently completing my first year for a bachelor degree in a Thai university, i have an extension due next week and have all the necessary documentation from the university to extend but seem to have lost the police clearance that I received for the first ED visa extension, I only possess the receipt from the Thai police headquarters. Does anybody have any idea if this will cause a problem? I will be extending at Cw imm in Bangkok

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on whether losing the police clearance required for their ED visa extension will create issues when applying at C.W. Immigration in Bangkok. They possess the receipt from the Thai police headquarters but are unsure if it will suffice for the extension process.

My experience in Thailand is, by asking the question you are answering it.

I’d guess you’ll need one each time. Or you’ll get a ‘Mai Chai’

I know it's not the answer you wanna hear but how about going out to C/W before you need to apply for the extension and asking the officers if you need it again or not? That's the only way that you're really gonna know. AND that will give you time to get back down to the special branch and see if they can give you a copy of the original or do another one

I don't know IF you need it or not, BUT if you do and don't have it I see nothing but problems

there are people from some countries that HAVE to have a police clearance to get an extension and I think just showing the receipt isn't gonna cut it if you're from one of those countries
