Hello, does anyone know how long before you can extend the Non Immigrant Visa O / 90 days for immigration in Thailand?

Please only answer if you really know it or if you have already had experience.

The request at the Thai embassy in Munich was answered with a link to immigration in Thailand, but I don't get an answer. What documents do I need to renew and what does it cost. ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend a Non-Immigrant Visa O (90 days) in Thailand, you can apply for an extension when you have 45 days or less remaining on your current visa stamp. The process and requirements may vary based on the immigration office you visit, as each has slightly different regulations. Generally, the cost for the extension is 1,900 THB, and it is essential to meet the specific financial requirements at the time of application. It is advised to verify the exact documents needed, as these depend on the reason for the visa and can differ from one office to another.

okay, here's how it works, If you entered on a 90 day Non-O visa in Phuket you can apply for an extension of stay when you have 45 days left on your current stamp.

You need to meet the financial requirements on the day you apply (not the date your current stamp runs out).

I'm going to shut this down (for now).

Nobody in this group (or any other group) can answer this question. There are 70+ immigration offices, each with their slightly different rules.

>What documents do I need to renew and what does it cost.

I have no clue what you're trying to extend. You said:

"does anyone know how long before you can extend the Non Immigrant Visa O / 90 days for immigration in Thailand?"

My answer:

"What's a Non-O/ 90 day visa?".

These can be purchased for numerous reasons, including (but not limiting to):

- Marriage to a Thai national

- Being a trailing spouse

- Raising half-Thai children

- Raising fully foreign children

- Being over 50

- and many others I'm probably forgetting off the top of my head.

Each one would have different paperwork and requirements to get an extension of stay. However, ALL extension of stays are 1,900 THB.

Don't forget, embassies issue the visas; the immigration offices issue the extension of stays. Embassies are managed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the immigration office offices are managed by the Royal Thai Police. They are two different organizations, and they do not communicate with each other. Never trust what a consulate says about getting an extension of stay, and never trust an immigration office what the requirements to get a visa outside the country.

I'm closing comments to prevent trolling. If you want commenting reopened, please send a mod a message, along with the specific visas you acquired and the immigration office you're using. We'll reopen commenting.

Thank you.

As different immigration offices have different rules...

Unless we know which one you will be using...

Nobody can answer you.

@Reiner ********
that is 100% incorrect ๐Ÿ˜• I believe you are posting the requirements to APPLY for an in country Non-O visa at Phuket (they have a 15 day or more left on your stamp policy) BUT the O/P is entering the country on a 90 day Non-O visa and in Phuket they allow you to apply for a new extension when you have 45 days or less left on your current stamp.

15 days remaining to get an extension of stay ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

What immigration office? Chiang Mai, Bangkok, Buriram, Phuket, Chiang Rai and a couple other ones (Surat Thani/Samui maybe) all allow people to apply for extensions when they have 45 days or less left on their current stamp.
