TLDR : Answer Summary
If you hold a multi-entry NON-O visa, you cannot register for a 90-day report as you are only allowed to stay in Thailand for 90 days per entry. After 90 days, you must exit and re-enter the country for a new stamp. This type of visa does not require 90-day reporting, and you have options for extensions such as marriage or retirement, or simply exiting and re-entering to renew your 90-day stay.

and on that note, we wish the O/P good luck in their endeavor, and hope that they can indeed acquire the year extension based on marriage at their immigration office (y)

So to recap, the O/P DOES NOT NEED to do a 90 day report. It has nothing to do with the system not at all, and everything to do wiht the fact the O/P is on am entry stamp from visa that doesn't let them stay longer than 90 days.

Right now as it is they are allowed to stay IN thailand until Jun 14th.

They either need to apply for one of these extensions;

-the year marriage to a thai OR retirement (as the visa has no notation on it),

-the 60 day visit thai family

-possibly a 60 day covid extension

OR

They have to exit re-enter the country to get a new 90 day entry stamp and they can do this every 90 days until the visa itself expires on Oct. 25 2022

That is how the visa works.

Okay
@Sandy *******
, You have a year long, multi-entry non-O visa.

This type of visa DOES NOT DO 90 day reporting because you cannot stay longer than 90 days inside the country on a stamp from it. As evidenced as your most recent entry stamp where you came in on the 17th of March which says you can stay until the 14th of Jun.

Thanks
@Tod ********
. For my information, what type of visa do I need to allow me to do 90 day reporting, without leaving the country, retirement?

Thankfully with your helpful information provided ,
@Tod ********
has provided you with your options.

Going to your local Thai Immigration Office to start this process to get the one year extension of stay as Married to Thai is your best option.

Suggest you take your wife with you and obtain your immigration office list of requirements to obtain the one year extension of stay.

If added time is needed... the 60 day family visit extension is available to you.

The graphics below have been prepared by Moderator Ellie as a helpful guide to what may be required for your extension of stay.

Glad you are now able to stay in Thailand.... Take care.

I have over 400k in a bank account in my name, and have had for longer than 2 months. I will go to immigration today and as for the year long marriage extension, to allow me to do the 90 day reporting from now on,

as a side note, you seem to dwell on the 90 day reporting aspect of having a long term visa extension. What you should focus on is getting the year long extension which allows you to stay in the country and requires 90 day reporting. To a lot of people 90 day reporting is a hassle, but actually it’s pretty easy these days via web or app. When you go to immigration and do the report they staple a piece of paper in your passport with your next report date. You can report up to 14 days early or up to 7 days after that date. Don’t assume that going to immigration for some other reason near that time automatically files your 90 day report.

Yep
@Sandy *******
that totally will work (y)

Read that image James posted that lists the required documents you need to apply for the year extension, that's a general idea and you should go with your thai wife to your immigration office and get their real hand out of what's required.

When you apply for the year long marriage extension for 1900baht you will get a 30 day under consideration stamp and then go back when that stamp runs out to get the year extension inked in. THEN after that you will do 90 day reporting

@Sandy *******
there is no Visa you can get inside the country or in any Southeast Asian country that allows you to do 90-day reporting. Any Visa like that would need to be gotten in your country before you come here. The best thing you could do would be to get the 400,000 Baht into a Thai bank account in your name only go apply for the 60-day visit Thai family extension and once the money has been in the account for 2 months apply for the year-long marriage extension and then you would start doing 90-day reporting

In fact looking at the image of the passport page of your entry stamps ALL of them are for 90 days only. NONE are longer,

Here is an image of your visa with the personal data redacted;

As you can see it's a year-long, multi-entry Non-O visa issued in Yangon, it has NO notation in the remarks but was issued for marriage to a thai (seeing as Yangon doesn't sell that visa for retirement) 😕

The VISA a multi-entry and is good for a year <- meaning you can come in and out all you want during the validity BUT on that visa you can ONLY get stamped in for 90 days, period end of story.

Then when that 90 days is running down you have three (possibly 4) choices

-You exit/re-enter the country to get a new 90 day stamp

-You apply for a 60 day visit thai family extension for 1900baht at the immigration office

OR

-You meet the financial requirements 400K baht in a thai bank account in your name only for 2 months before you apply for a marriage extension and you get a year extension for 1900baht at the immigration office.

You might be able to get a 60 day covid extension but that is immigration office specific all you can do is ask. BUT you either get an extension or you leave and come back.

I see a trip to a bordering country in your extremely near future.
Tod *********
@Wannikea ********
either that or they apply for an in country extension

If you have multi entry visa you only come in for 90 days then leave and re-enter to get another 90 days. As you're never here for over 90 days you don't do a 90 day report
