You do not need to cancel your OA visa before leaving Thailand. A visa cannot be canceled, and if you have an extension of stay due to being over 50, that also cannot be canceled.

No. You can not cancel a visa. If you have an extension of stay for being over 50, you can not cancel that either (unless you figure out a way to become younger than 50 years old).

That's right. Remember, it is a multiple entry, so if you change your mind, you can always return until your visa expires
