Do I need to buy a new medical insurance policy for a 60-day stay after switching from a 30-day visa exempt entry?

I have a question about the medical insurance needed for entry.

Originally I had planned to enter on a 30 day visa exempt basis and purchased a 30 day insurance policy. Subsequently I obtained a multiple entry tourist visa that permits stays of up to 60 days.

Can I use my original 30 day insurance policy for a 60 day entry or do I need to buy a second policy covering the second 60 days?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original 30-day medical insurance policy will not suffice for a 60-day entry under a multiple entry tourist visa. It is necessary to either purchase an additional 30 days of coverage or request a cancellation of the initial policy to secure a new one that covers the full 60-day stay.

Ask your agent to cancel your 30 day policy and write new one for 60 days

Insurance must cover you’re full length of stay so unfortunately you’ll need to purchase an extra 30 days
