TLDR : Answer Summary
The community indicates that purchasing 90 days of insurance for a 60-day tourist visa in Thailand will not cause any issues with the Thailand Pass application. Several users mentioned that one could secure insurance for a longer duration without affecting the visa process, and that only 60 days of coverage are technically required. The consensus is that concerns about extending insurance coverage beyond the visa duration are unnecessary, and having more insurance could be beneficial.

Maybe make your own thread and not post a question in someones question:)? And when you do just also mention what kind of visa you are traveling with. There is no way of answering this.
I bought 5 months of traveling insurance and all I had was a one way ticket to Thailand when I was applying for my 60 days visa. It was approuved in 24h online.
Also, I never had to prove that I had a returning ticket on arrival or departure (from London). All they care about here is your vaccinations even for domestic flights or outdoors street markets.
Ps: just extended my 60 days by another 30 days today and it was very easy!
