TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around whether a 4-month travel insurance policy is sufficient for a trip to Thailand, focusing on the insurance requirements tied to visa validity. The consensus is that insurance coverage must match the duration of the visa, particularly emphasizing that COVID-19 insurance is needed for the entire stay, including extensions. Several comments highlight that while the visa might be for 60 days with an option for a 30-day extension, comprehensive coverage is recommended, and it may be safer to opt for a longer-term insurance policy.
It can't be month to month it will have to cover the entire stay of the visa stamp so if it's the stamp say's 60 days the. It's 60 and if the visa stamp say's 90 day's then it's 90 day's required. And let's be honest if we do take the whole CoVid equation out fo Thai who in their right mind wouldn't have an travel/health insurance under their entire stay just saying. Shit can happens every second CoVid or no CoVid.
i came in July on a 3 month visa and bought a 1 year policy i just extended for a year till October at no time was i even asked to show the covid insurance.
Its the coverage amount that matters, it can be month to month. The visa determines the necessary coverage. No way to extend 4months on a SETV. 60 day visa, 30 day extension, then bingo.
