Hi there.

When applying for a multi-entry tourist visa, do you need to have flights booked for all entry and departures and supply those dates?

I understand I can enter for 60 days and apply for a 30 day extension which I would like to apply for, but not sure whether to book the departure flight for the 90 days straight off.

Thank you in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a multi-entry tourist visa (METV) to Thailand, the requirements regarding flight bookings can vary depending on the embassy or consulate. Some users have reported that only supplying the inbound flight details sufficed, while others suggest providing both arrival and departure flights to better justify the need for a multi-entry visa. It's advisable to check the specific requirements of the Thai consulate you are applying to, as some may not require flights for all entries and departures, while others might. Moreover, you can make flight bookings that can be canceled after the visa approval.

Detailed requirements are embassy/consulate specific. Without that information, it might not help others.

Please check the exact Thai embassy/consulate you are applying for your visa.

This post is not going to be the one to comment ok with this embassy, that consulate requires this, etc.

Thank you all for your contribution.

I was granted a METV e-visa from Canberra in March 2024 and I had supplied a copy of my flight details of arrival May and departure November. No questions were asked.

Just got a multi tourist evisa, provided inbound flight only and no question as to why i wanted a multi entry. I guess they can see travel history though so know I come and go a lot

We ADVISE people to have their flight IN to thailand, then about 60 days later have a flight out of thailand and a few days after that have another flight back in.

That way you show them WHY you need an METV versus just a single entry one

Some offices don't care if the flight is dated 90 days out,

BUT

some do,

Read the requirements on the website of the thai consulate you're applying at

AND

if they don't say anything about it I'd do the onward travel about 60 days after the arrival date

You can make bookings you can cancel after you get the visa approved, they don't care

they are not applying for a 60 day single entry tourist visa but a 6 month METV which has a caveat that says you need to show the consulate WHY you need the multi-entry tourist visa
