Hey guys, I’ve come back to Thailand with a non imm B visa for work. I know I need to extend the visa to a year and also get the work permit. What documents do I need for these two things? Also I’ve heard the CW immigration building isn’t letting people go until a few days before their visas run out, is this accurate? Thank you for all of the work you’re doing

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking information about the required documents to extend their Non-Immigrant B visa for work in Thailand and to obtain a work permit. They also inquire about the potential restriction at CW immigration building regarding visa extensions not being accepted until a few days before the visa expiration date.

Currently, CW lets the only people who with admitted until stamp the remaining three days or less to apply for a new extension.

What was the purpose for the Non B visa being issued by Thai Embassy? Teaching or business ?

as I said you have your homework ahead of you as there is a lot of documentation to be done by your employer and with the Labor Ministry in cooperation with the Thai Immigration office to obtain the one year extension of stay based on business.

thank you, I’ll get back on the phone to the MOL and immigration. My current visa is valid until October so I have a little breathing room without it being a mad dash

You need to contact your employer and the Thai Labor Ministry to discuss that which is needed for your Thai work permit and Non B one year extension of stay based on business .

It will be between you, your employer, the Thai Labor Ministry and Thai immigration to determine if you qualify for the one year extension of stay based on business in Thailand.

Good luck... You have your homework set forth for you to do.
