ASQ TM 30 question. Returning to BKK am I correct to assume my ASQ hotel will file a TM30. Once I am released from custody 14 days later and return to my BKK condo, as this will be an" in country move" is my condo landlord therefore NOT required to submit/file yet another TM30 with immigration. Thanks !

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry revolves around whether a condominium landlord in Bangkok needs to file a TM30 upon the tenant's return from an Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ) hotel, considering it an 'in country move'. According to various comments, while the ASQ hotel is responsible for filing a TM30 when the individual arrives, there is a debate on the necessity of filing another TM30 when the tenant relocates back to their condo. Many agree that, in practice, Bangkok immigration may not strictly enforce TM30 filings for local moves, but the official rule requires a TM30 to be submitted whenever there is a change in address lasting more than 24 hours. It’s advisable to confirm with the local immigration office for the most accurate guidance.

That is correct, they should.

That is a question that ONLY the local immigration office can answer. Bangkok is strict about the TM30s, and GENERALLY ask for it for any extension of stays.

A TM30 can be submitted ELECTRONICALLY using one of the following three applications:

A screenshot of an acceptable, completed TM30 looks like the attached.

In Bangkok and landlord doesn't want to file the TM30? They allow self filing, see

Landlord never heard of a TM30? Have them watch this video from the Thai government:

You live elsewhere and not Bangkok? Ask the local immigration office for the policy. There's 70+ immigration offices.

I am closing comment until tomorrow morning Thursday time in Thailand.

Bottom line is to file a TM 30 upon arrival at your address to be sure...

Unless YOUR Thai IMMIGRATION office advises that it is not needed.

Different immigration offices have different requirements re TM30 filings.

The TM30 rules say that everytime you change address for 24 hours, you need to file a TM30, within 24 hours. They do not always enforce it but they can at any time. If you are in hotels it will be done for you. If you are in a long term residence, you have to do it yourself.

You can debate over what immigration might do, but thoue are the rules.

this has been discussed at length today on a separate post. There seems to be a lot of confusion as to whether you need to apply for TM 30 when moving between addresses within Thailand. Bangkok immigration seem to be more relaxed about NOT needing a new one.

it wasn’t specifically about your issue but about TM 30s in general. I will have the same issue as you. As I’ve just got a non o visa I think I’ll play it safe and get a new TM 30 report filed when I get to BKK

David Valdez. Download the TM30 app. Unlike the website it has an English language option. So easy to do TM30. Takes three minutes, and that's stopping to go get another beer mid-way through

Chris Good. You must have slipped under the radar. Bangkok are very strict with TM30. I needed a new one after three nights in Phuket or they wouldn't give me the 90-day report receipt. Now I use the app, it's so easy
