Can anyone advise please?

When applying for a retirement visa, do you need your health insurance stamped and a form filled out by the insurer? Just been advised by a well know insurer (international) they don’t do this.

Any pointers?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a retirement visa in Thailand, it's important to differentiate between the Non O visa and the Non OA visa. The Non O visa, which is available for individuals over 50, does not require health insurance. In contrast, the Non OA visa does require health insurance, and you'll need to provide a policy certificate from your insurer as part of the application process. Thus, if you are applying for the Non OA visa, ensure your insurance meets the necessary requirements.
NON-O RETIREMENT VISA RESOURCES / SERVICES
  • Go to the Retirement Visa Section for information on requirements, including age restrictions, financial requirements, and necessary documentation.
  • For immediate assistance, contact Thai Visa Centre directly via LINE at @ThaiVisaCentre or Email them.
  • Explore recent discussions by using the Non-O Retirement Visa tag in the search box at the top of the page.

You seem to be applying for a Non OA Visa once you have purchased the Insurance you will get a policy certificate that is what they require.

A Non O visa (often referred to as a “retirement visa” but actually issued to anyone over 50) doesn’t require insurance.

A Non OA visa (often referred to as a “retirement visa”) does require insurance.
