Answer summary
The general consensus among commenters is that you do not need coronavirus insurance specifically to extend your visa in Bangkok, although having insurance is advised regardless for personal financial safety. It is also suggested to contact the British Embassy in Thailand for the latest updates and information relevant to UK nationals.

cheers buddy.I run marathons and triathlons,im pretty fit so I'm sure I'll beat it.
But shouldn't be cocky.
It's just that the uk insurance companies have stopped Corona cover for now, and my insurance ends 10th April. I will get a new policy for 30 days further...
Cheers for the advice
