Quick question please. We have our 30 day arrival stamp and it’s due to expire in about 10 days. If we go and renew it early does this renew from when it expires or when we get the new one? I don’t want to cut our time short of that makes sense.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The extension of a 30-day arrival stamp in Thailand takes effect from the expiry date of the original stamp, not from when you apply for the new one. It is advisable to wait until closer to the expiry date to avoid any issues, especially considering potential holiday closures at immigration offices.

The time will be added to the end. I'd recommend waiting until Wednesday or Thursday though because immigration is closed Monday due to holiday and will be busier than normal Tuesday because of that.

It's an extension. So it extends your time from the expiry of the previous stamp
