Will I need the TM 6 arrival card for a visa extension in Thailand now that it's temporarily discontinued?

Came back to Thailand yesterday and found out that TM 6 arrival card is no longer required. After some reading I found out its 'temporary' measure, only if you arrive by plane.

Now, when I have to extend my visa in December, I'm worried that immigration may ask me for TM 6

Did any of you have experience of doing a visa extension without the TM6 form? How did it go?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The TM 6 arrival card is currently temporarily discontinued for all entries into Thailand, including those arriving by air. Concerns regarding its necessity for visa extensions appear to be unfounded, as previous experiences shared by other expats suggest that no TM 6 is required when applying for a visa extension. However, it is important to ensure that a TM 30 form, confirming your address in Thailand, is on file with the immigration office.

If Thai immigration say the tm6 is no longer required why would you be worried the immigration would require it.

Because you quickly learn that what one immigration officer says often differs from what the next immigration officer says and both often differ from what the actual regulations say.

I'm sure immigration offices are aware of it. Also, since new website for 90-days notification is available, there is no need to put TM6 number there.

Done that. No TM6 is required for a visa extension.

The TM 6 is TEMPORARILY DISCONTINUED. By land, sea or air.

NO need to worry when you apply for an extension of stay.

BUT be sure you have a TM30 of your address on file with the Thai immigration office.
