Hi, we have come in on a 30 day visa exempt basis from the UK.
We want to get a 60 day covid extension then sort out a retirement or student visa.
Our 30 days run out on 30th November...
Our current accommodation check out is 1st December. We have accomodation sorted from 1st December on a rolling monthly basis.
Should we apply for the covid extension prior to the 30th and use a tm30 for our current accommodation? Or should we get our next landlord ( 1st - 30 th December) to provide the tm30 ?
Do we have to show flights for after the 30th? We have flexible return flight options we can use/ change.
Thanks in advance .
TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster, currently in Thailand on a 30-day visa exempt entry, seeks advice on obtaining a 60-day COVID extension before their visa expires on November 30. They are unsure whether to apply for the extension before their current visa expires, how to handle TM30 forms for accommodations, and if they need to show onward flight tickets. Responses suggest applying for a 30-day regular extension first, as local immigration offices may have varying policies regarding direct COVID extensions. It’s recommended to clarify with the local immigration office.
