My 60 day TR visa will expire on 19th August and I will apply for the 30 day extension this week.
I am hoping that I will be granted a covid extension for 60 days at Chaeng Watthana when I go there before 24th August.
Can anyone tell me what their recent experience was in getting a covid extension there? Did you get 60 days from the day of applying or 60 days on top of your 30 day extension stamp? And were you asked for the TM30?
I have gone through some posts, but I was hoping for more recent experiences.
Thanks in advance! ๐๐ป

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user seeks information about applying for a COVID extension at Chaeng Watthana Immigration Office, specifically whether the extension begins on the application date or if it's in addition to existing extensions. They also inquire about the necessity of the TM30 document, highlighting the need for recent experiences due to their upcoming application before the visa expiration.
Whether or not you can get the COVID 60 day extension is UP TO the Thai Immigration Officer you see when applying for it.
These are the common found requirements for the COVID extension...ask your Thai immigration office for their requirements.
The usual process is that the Day you first apply will be the start date of the COVID extension...if granted.
And likely will be given UNDER CONSIDERATION STAMP with your application under review and a specific date you are instructed to return to CLOSE the under consideration stamp.
