TLDR : Answer Summary
Most responses indicate that a ticket out of Thailand is generally not required for those entering with a DTV visa. While some airlines may request an onward ticket, many are familiar with the DTV program and do not enforce this requirement. However, it is advisable to book a departure ticket early to ensure better rates and avoid complications, especially with airlines that have strict policies.

No, but once you get here I would book a flight out ahead of time to be cheaper and round trip book it at the end of your stamp as opposed to doing it the week of

I had to specify my departure on TDAC under the DTV program. I ordered a bus ticket to Laos.

I always leave the departure date empty. Have DTV and never had problems.

You generally don't. Most airlines are now familiar with the DTV and will let you board without an onward ticket. (It's way more of an airline 'thing' than it is an immigration thing.)

Josep Balagué in Italy with Qatar: if you don't have a return ticket, you can't take the flight .

Next September I’ve to come back in Thailand and I’ll stay 8 months and I don’t know how to do…

Just came back from Vietnam and wasn’t asked at all

Emirates never asked me from the UK either

Airlines are stupid and ask you for an exit ticket after six months or they won't let you fly!

no*. Most airlines are familiar with the DTV now and do not require an onward ticket. It may be a policy of YOUR airline to require one but I know Korean does not.
