Will I be eligible for another visa exempt stamp for dental treatment in Thailand?

I am Canadian entered in December 2025 on visa exempt stamp. Left Thailand before 60 days then returned in February in another 60 day visa exempt stamp.

First visit I had dental work done (bone graft) that required 3 month wait before inserting the implants which will happen late March. I will leave in April before 60 days expire.

I need to return in July / August to have the bridge installed.

Question (finally):

Will I be eligible for another visa exempt stamp or should I apply for a medical or tourist visa? I am over 60 but not ready to consider a retirement visa at this time.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, a Canadian, is seeking advice on whether they can obtain another visa exempt stamp after entering Thailand multiple times for dental treatment. They initially entered Thailand on a visa exempt stamp and left before the 60-day period expired. They are considering returning for further dental work and are unsure if a new visa exempt stamp will be granted or if they should apply for a tourist or medical visa instead. Responses suggest that applying for a tourist or medical visa, along with documentation from their dentist, would be the safer option, given the uncertainty surrounding visa exempt entries.

A retirement visa (Non-O) gives you 90 days on entry so why are you ruling this out?

I would get letter from dentist and pay the $40 for tourist visa-MT medical treatment, then youโ€™ll have no issues at Survarnabhumi Airport upon entering. Visa or no visa strongly suggest letters of appointment from dentist and proof of accommodation.

Sadly you're asking a question that no one on this or any other group could answer with any degree of certainty.. ๐Ÿ˜•

Now in theory, you should be able to get back in visa exempt, BUT it's gonna come down to the officer you're standing in front of when you stamp in.

I mean looks like you had two nearly back to back 60 day visa exempt entry stamps (no matter what reason they were for) and even though you didn't extend them and left before the 60 days ran out, you were coming in free stamp as a tourist. Then you want to come back in free stamp again in July/Aug for the additional dental work. Could be suspect, OR you could skate right in ๐Ÿ™ it's a crap shoot..

I'd say, just to be safe, apply for the tourist visa based on medical treatment (get a letter from the treating dentist/clinic). That to me at least shows you're entering with a visa for the right reason and you shouldn't get too much scrutiny stamping in
