Do you know about the rules around passport validity and re-entry permits:
I have a non-B visa and work permit. I'd need to make a trip to another country but my passport would have less than 6 months left when returning to Thailand.
Do you know if the rule "minimum 6 months left in your passport" applies when you have a long term B visa and re-entry permit?
Thank you for any information you might have.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the passport validity requirement for re-entering Thailand when holding a non-B visa and work permit, specifically whether the common rule of needing at least 6 months on the passport applies in this context. A comment suggests that while Thailand specifically does not enforce this 6-month validity rule, travelers should still be cautious as many other Southeast Asian countries do require it.
Sorry, Just an off-rail comment. Be careful, while Thailand doesn't have that 6 months validity rule, also even if it had that rule still you can enter with a valid visa/extension, most other SEA countries have a 6months (or similar) validity rule, so you need to be careful with your travel plan. (But the further discussion is out of the scope of this group)
thank you so much for your comment, it's not off rail at all. I've checked that this country requires only 3 months' validity, so everything should be okay ๐ Thanks!
