Just been invited for interview. Do I have to accept the interview or just turn up. (Laos vientiane) it has given me a time and date so guessing its confirmed ? The only details in the email is asking to present 3 months bank statements showing 500k. There is currently nearly 600k baht in my account but I was just checking back and realised it dipped below the 500k threshold at one point. Do you think this is going to be a problem? I have nearly 1.4million baht in a savings account if that will help my situation. Thanks
Answer summary
The user received an interview invitation for a Thai visa application and is uncertain about whether they must accept it and show up. They also express concern about having dipped below the required 500,000 baht balance in their bank account at one point, even though they currently have nearly 600,000 baht, alongside an additional 1.4 million baht in a savings account. Comments from the community indicate that showing consistent financial stability is crucial, and while there may be concerns about the dip in funds, having ample savings could demonstrate overall financial compliance. Suggestions include being prepared with all relevant documents, including bank statements from multiple accounts, and the potential need to print these documents for the interview.

Why didn't you send the savings account with 1.4 million baht in?
Instead of an acc which didn't always have 500k baht in?
Itditxiditxitisitsitditc Tiberious good to know. They have all my bank statements anyway so im sure if that was a problem for them they would of requested further documents before the interview. But ive organised it all on my laptop to take and show them. And will show them live of me logging into my bank when there
Anonymous participant 192 I submitted on 27th April, paid on 28th. Further documents requested same day. Request for interview email today 6th May. Interview on 11th May
Best to print out all your paperwork. The young man that does the interviews there is pretty savvy. Of course no one knows how he will react to the funds dipping below, but he's pretty decent guy and if you can show adequate combined financials overall for a period of time, there's a possibility it won't be a deal breaker. He will check your current balance on your bank app.
thanks for this. Yeah the funds are in the live banking app. One account has nearly 600k baht. Another account has 1.4m baht but we shall see. Interview next week
but if they did want them printed surely they should state that? I have all documents and the same documents I will take on my laptop are the same ones I submitted to them already
DTV_BegPecker I must of just missed it when looking through my statements. My fault but there is more than 500k currently in there. I run an Airbnb back in the UK and have 2 additional property income so ill show everything and see what happens. I submitted all this when applying but will see
