American citizen, looking for some help with DTV application under soft powers medical treatment. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
I am currently in Thailand, and am receiving long-term medical treatment. I plan to fly out and apply for the DTV in a nearby country in the upcoming weeks.. I am not sure which country would be best for my situation. My questions are as follows:
I just recently (in October) put enough money into my bank account to meet the 500k requirement, but I see that some Thai Embassies may require bank statements from the last 3 months. Is there any country near Thailand that has an embassy that only requires the current month bank statement/balance?
Also, I read on one post that someone's DTV for medical treatment application was denied because the name of the doctor on the medical letter was not on the clinic/hospitals website. Has anyone else run into this issue and what embassy was this at? The clinic where I am currently receiving treatment does not have a website (it's complicated), so I am not sure if this would be an issue.
Once again, thank you for the help!
TLDR : Answer Summary
An American citizen in Thailand is seeking advice on applying for the Digital Visa for Medical Treatment (DTV). They have recently met the 500,000 THB bank balance requirement but are uncertain about the embassy requirements in neighboring countries for applying. They receive long-term treatment at a clinic without a website and are concerned about potential issues with documentation based on past rejections reported by others, particularly concerning the medical letter and clinic legitimacy. Responses indicate that embassies in Jakarta and Ho Chi Minh City might only require a current bank statement, while Taipei has reported stricter requirements regarding the medical provider's online presence.
