Can you complete a TM30 at a police station as well as apply for a Certificate of Residency?

I thought I had read that one or both can be done at at police station as a convenience rather than running to immigration. That thought or comment wasn’t from Facebook. I cannot remember where I saw it.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The TM30 can only be processed at a police station if no immigration office services your area, which is rare in practice. However, a Certificate of Residency cannot be obtained at a police station; it must be requested through the appropriate immigration office.

Almost 20 years ago went to report at local police station. Told we know who you are and are here again. Welcome back. Tell immigration next 90 day report. They do that form.

its thd responsibility of the ownerd of the place where you are residing to submit the TM30

incorrect, it is the responsibility of the possessor.

Try to avoid the police period.

You can only do a TM30 at the police station if there is NO immigration office that services where you live, (totally unlikely), and you sure can't get a cert of residence from the police station.

yep, some 23 years ago, with no Immigration Office in Hua Hin, I did a Certificate of Residency but today they would laugh me out of the Police Station

nope that was quite a number of years ago when it wasn't an online process, now you go to the immigration office that serves the area where you stay for a TM30 and ask them about a certificate of residence
