What Should I Choose for My Occupation on the DTV Visa: Freelance or Business Owner?

question about workcation dtv visa (Embassy The Hague Netherlands)

I am registered as self employed but have 1 client who pays me recurring and has a contract with me. For Occupation, should I choose "freelance" or "business owner"

What should I do for "Accommodation in Thailand"? Can I just do a hotel for 6 days that I haven't booked yet?

I saw mixed opinions here saying that an Airbnb is needed for 1 month.

Does the hotel date need to match with the intended date of arrival / departure?

Can I do "No" for Additional accommodation in Thailand even though the hotel is for a couple of days ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user asks about the appropriate classification of their occupation for a workcation DTV visa, questioning whether to select "freelance" or "business owner" as they are self-employed with a recurring client. They seek clarification on accommodation requirements, including the validity of booking a hotel for just 6 days, the necessity of matching hotel dates with arrival/departure dates, and whether they can decline indicating additional accommodation despite having a temporary hotel booking.

Not sure if they will ask for kamer van koophandel details as a freelancer but they do for employees and may also for business owners.

You probably fit more in the freelancer category but that's just me guessing.

Some do , some don't...go onto booking dot com and look for a hotel that you can pay on arrival. That way you can cancel it after you get your DTV if you don't want it.

I named a booking for 30 nights, didn’t submit proof and they didn’t ask anything about it

After that ‘no’ for additional accommodation, it was fine

(Also The Hague)
