DTV Visa Application – Remote Work
I am applying for the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) under the Workcation category as a remote worker. I am a partner in my family’s business, an accounting firm.
I have already prepared all the documents required by the Royal Thai Embassy in Rome, including my criminal record certificate, the company registration extract, and a letter from the company owner, who is my father, confirming my professional role and stating that my duties can be performed remotely.
I have also prepared my round-trip flight booking, with departure in February and return in July. I intend to return to my home country twice a year, staying for approximately two weeks each time.
In addition, I have provided my certificate of residence, bank statements, and a hotel reservation for the first 15 days of my stay in Thailand. During those 15 days, I intend to find a suitable property to rent under a one-year lease. I have also prepared a separate letter explaining my accommodation plans and my intention to find long-term housing during my initial stay.
I have been informed that all supporting documents must be in English. Could someone please clarify what I should do in this situation?
Am I allowed to translate the documents into English myself, or must they be translated by a certified translator or officially accredited translation service? Is a sworn translation or any additional certification required?
I would be very grateful for any advice from people who have applied for the DTV under similar circumstances, particularly those who submitted their applications through the Royal Thai Embassy in Rome.
Thank you very much for your help!
