Hi Everyone,

I have a few questions ref METV. I know that it’s good for 6 months with muiltiple enteries up max 60 days per entry. Is it hard to get a 30 day extension after the 60 days? I know the visa expires after 6 months, but does it become active the day it’s received or on entry?

Thank you have fantastic day!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The METV is valid for 6 months from the date it is issued, not from the date of entry. You can obtain a 30-day extension after your initial 60 days at an immigration office for a fee of 1900 baht.

the visa is valid for 6 months from the date it's issued (NOT the date you enter)

the 30 day 'regular' extension is easy to get from any of the 60 day entry stamps at the immigration office for 1900baht
