Can I use my tourist visa after a border run, and how many extensions can I get on my current entry?

Thanks for letting me join the group!

I just arrived from Canada, I received a stamp for 30 days, I did apply for a 60 day tourist visa from Canada but it has not been approved yet due them being busy. I did apply 30 business days ago!

I have 2 questions.

1. When and if I do receive my tourist visa can it be used if I border run by land, or fly out say to Vietnam and return to Thailand within the 90 days of this visa being issued. Or is this Visa no good now?

2. I know I can extend once for 30 days on top of my 30 days I received upon arrival at the airport, after this can I do a visa run by land and get 30 days and extend for another 30 days.

How long to you intend to stay Thailand as the following is now available to you with one border bounce if your visa gets approved : current 30 days plus 30 day extension then border bounce with visa for 60 days plus 30 day extension?

For that duration you really should have a Mutli-entry Tourist Visa which can get you almost 9 months in Thailand with extension(s).

-> Yes. You can "activate" when you enter Thailand by land or air after your eVisa gets approved and until it's expired.

-> Yes, you can apply for 30 days tourism extension for each entry on a visa-exempt or tourist visa, doesn't matter by land or by air.
