Anyone managed to extend their 45-day visa exemption?
I asked London Thai Embassy and they told me that the 45-day exemption cannot be extended

TLDR : Answer Summary
A discussion on whether the 45-day visa exemption in Thailand can be extended reveals conflicting information. While the official stance from some embassies, like London, suggests it cannot be extended, several users report successful extensions through local immigration offices or their respective embassies. It's advised that travelers research and verify current policies, as different embassies may provide varying information and the immigration process can differ among offices.

Can you fly from UK with TR? Is it for work or study?
Never trust what a consulate says about getting an extension of stay, and never trust a local Thai immigration office about getting a visa at a Thai consulate; they are two completely different departments that do not communicate with each other - period!

Embassy in LA said the same thing that it couldn’t be extended. My flight got pushed out so I just applied for a Tourist Visa so I didn’t have to worry about it. You would think something so basic would be known by every Embassy.

Never trust what an embassy says about extension of stays, and never trust the immigration office about the process to get a visa outside of Thailand. They are two, completely different departments that do not talk to each other at all
that’s a visa. Visa exempt means you don’t have to apply for a visa to come into Thailand. It was previously 30 days. But it was stopped last year due to the pandemic. They just recently started again. Then changed it to 45 days so travelers could still get 30 days out of quarantine.

Phil Wrong. A visa exemption is an entry without at visa.
