Hey people. We (me and my partner) are planning to spend 6 months in the land of smile. Am I correct by first getting the 60 day tourist visa here in London , extend for 30 whilst there , having a week trip to either Phnom Penh or Laos, apply again for the tourist visa and extend ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquires about the process of spending six months in Thailand, initially planning to obtain a 60-day tourist visa followed by a 30-day extension, and a subsequent border run for another tourist visa. Responses highlight that an alternative option is to apply for a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa (METV), which allows for multiple 60-day stays within six months, simplifying the stay for longer periods without needing frequent visa runs.

Yes

You could go that route or get the METV in London, you'll need UK residency or passport for that. The SETV needs a lot less docs/paperwork.

Pepper Lawson Did you read the name of this page: Thai Visa advice. Not Cambodia Visa tips. The people asking questions here to visit Thailand not how to live as a Digital Nomad in Cambodia. I deleted your advice, because it has nothing to do with Thai Visa.

That should be no problem.

Besides that guys, I got a new passport a couple of months ago. So clear pages beside a US entry. However, partner has still the one with 4 visa excemptions for Thailand, but all at least 4 months apart. I guess shouldn't be a problem for the 60 day visa ?

My apologies. I just saw Phnom Penh.

Take a look at this web page, scroll down to Tourist Visa and you will see this line: For Multiple Entries (stay up to 60 days for each entry within the period of 6 months).

Ok. As far as I knew in terms of a tourist visa the max is 60 plus 30. If there is a way around that would be great xD

It is a way to do it, or get the Multiple Entry Tourist Visa, valid for 6 months and you can get 270 days of stay out of it in sections of 60 days.
