Does anybody know this: if I get my Non-B Visa. My wife can get a companion visa. Yes. But what is with the daughter of my wife?I have not adopted the girl, but she lives with us since 5 years now abd of course we want to take her with us. I cannot find any information about that specific case. Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks guidance on whether their wife’s daughter can obtain a visa while living with them in Thailand, given that they have a Non-B visa and the wife has a companion visa, without formal adoption. Responses suggest consulting local immigration or an embassy for clarification, as dependent visas may have limitations.

I’ve asked around and it’s a very interesting situation. Most think it’s not possible to get a dependant visa off a dependant visa. If you’re in Thailand go to your local immigration to check. If not you need to consult your local embassy/consulate to see if your daughter could get in. Once in there’s theoretically not a problem as minors under the age of 15 can’t be fined or deported for overstaying.
