I am on a one year Non-O extension Based on Retirement. I need to get my Non-Thai wife(we just got married in Thailand) and her child Non-O Dependent visas and then extend those in Bangkok piggybacking onto my retirement extension. What is the best local embassy to do this at - Penang or Vientiene and what documents are required? And do I have to wait to put them onto my extension during the last 30 days of their entry? Thanks for your help.

She is a Fillipina and we got married in Thailand. Have a Thai Marriage License. Does she have to get the Non-O in Manila or can she go to Penang or Vientiene?
I just called an agent in Penang and he told me that in order to get Non-O visas for my wife and her child I need to have a bank letter or income affidavit because of money laundering. I find this odd since I already have a Non-O Retirement extension. Anybody else heard about this at Penang?
What country is your wife from? It may make a difference as to where she can apply for her visa. What documents did you get when you married in Thailand?
