Hi everyone, we’re are considering applying for a DTV visa through remote work. My partner is a share trader and has a substantial amount in his portfolio. I just have a few questions: 

- is that still considered remote work? If not, we receive income through our savings account (approx $80k USD equivalent per annum), is that sufficient. 

- when selection departure date, do you select a year or more? Is the length of visa depending on the departure date you select? 

Notes: I am a Thai national but have lived abroad for 20 years. We are considering moving to Thailand but I’m not sure what visa my partner can apply. We are not married

It would make it much easier if you were married. With the amount of money you listed in dollars, you'd be much better getting an investment visa through the BOI, board of investment.
