What should I know about applying for the Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) from Sri Lanka?

I’m a 30-year-old remote worker (Sri Lankan) based in Colombo, planning to apply for the DTV from here. I have a few concerns and would really appreciate any insights from those who’ve gone through the process.
I work remotely for a US-based company and also take on freelance projects. My fixed monthly income is USD 1,000, and most months I earn an additional USD 300 or more from freelance work. I currently have LKR 5 million (approximately THB 500,000) in my bank account, and I’m planning to submit my DTV application once it hits the three-month mark.
I have two main questions:
1. Could my income level be a potential reason for rejection?
2. I’ve come across several posts mentioning DTV rejections from applicants who applied through the embassy in Colombo. Is there any truth to this?

Most embassy do not include the reason of rejection.
People do make mistakes in typing their name, passport number or even forget to upload correct documents.
IF you meet al requirements with genuine documents, normally a visa is issued.
Did you live in Thailand before, be aware that health insurance, saving for old age, tax, bills for housing, food, transport, travel add up and than is 35.000 Thb a month a low budget.
