Hi there,

My mother in law went to Thailand for the holidays, and a trip to Cambodia was included in the travel package. She is from Uruguay (not in the list) but lives in Brazil, and she got a single entry visa. She is in Cambodia at the moment and is trying to go back to Thailand again to spend the remaining 8 days of the holiday package, but she could not enter again because of her visa.

Please is there any way to enter again into Thailand without wait for a new multi emter visa????

I thank you in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual is looking for advice on how their mother-in-law can re-enter Thailand after visiting Cambodia on a single entry visa from Uruguay, living in Brazil. Unfortunately, without a valid visa or re-entry permit, she cannot return to Thailand. The commenters suggest she could apply for a new tourist visa at the Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh, which takes about 3-4 working days, but warn that this may exceed her remaining time in the region. Alternatives like transiting through Bangkok with a flight connection to Brazil were also discussed.

her mistake was, she entered on a single entry visa (tourist visa?) which gave her 60 days. she could have bought a single re-entry permit for 1000.- THB, which would have kept the 60-days stay permit she received with her SETV alive, and would have been able to re-enter Thailand using this re-entry permit. . . .However now this is blown, so Plan B must be: fly from Cambodia to the BKK Suvarnabhumi Airport (use Thai Airways and NO OTHER airline!!) on the day of her return flight to Brazil. She can remain airside in the transit zone for a maximum of 24 hours, without the need of obtaining a transit visa

There is not much she could do within the short period of 8 days left, as a single entry Tourist Visa application in Phnom Penh would require an appointment and many more days of wait . . . . . Does she have a flight ticket back to Brazil? Then she can book a flight to BKK Airport (no other airport, watch out!!) on the same day her flight will depart for Brazil, with enough time between arrival flying in from Phnom Penh or Siem Reap, and departure of her international flight. She will then remain in the transit zone and does not need to enter Thailand. Keep in mind that either her baggage must get checked through. If this is not possible, she must travel with her handcarry only

another question, can she easily fulfill the requirements? Are there any weekend days and holidays in between the "3-4 working days" ?

No it doesn't require an appointment. Stop spreading false informational and fear mongering.

She can apply for a Thai visa at the Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh. It takes 3 working days. Here's the list of required documents:

my bad. confused it with Vientiane and the Vietnamese Thai embassy and consulate and their Malaysian counterparts. They ALL need appointments

Edit. Just looked at the screenshot above and it clearly states no appointment required.

stop putting out false information before fact checking first. People can sometimes be in difficult situations regarding visas and this doesn't help.

You seem to be very sure an appointment is required as you've mentioned it twice now. Can you kindly show evidence that an appointment is required as I don't believe it is, since I will be applying for a SETV in PP and I was previously trying to gather feedback on the process.

The Embassy's website says no appointment required. 3 working days not including day of submission and pick up.

the process takes 3-4 "work days" (not over the weekends!!) . . . . . . . However, she MUST make an appointment first! How long will THAT take? She only got 8 days left. . .obviously NOT doable any more

She has to go to the Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh and apply for a new tourist visa. Check the requirements but I think it takes 48 hours and she will need stamped evidence of financial resources like a bank statement. A printout of bank statement is not enough, they love their stamps.

@Gregor *********
yep, it doesn't look good. Plus they love their holidays and it's not really a good time.

How about a land border crossing at poipet? Probably not possible legally. But it could be cheaper to pay a fine flying out of Bangkok than rebuying an international plane ticket.

@Alain **********
she will need an appointment in Phnom Penh, I reckon she does not have enough time left to apply for a SETV - and the requirements are sharp.

@Alain **********
Or use an agent< Needs show bank statement with $1,000 in it $60 in PP , $80 if anywhere else in Cambodia .

3-4 working days

!!!! watch out for the info on this website as it is NOT an official website. The advices given here might be full of bullcrap

It's better to put the passport nation, current location and duration of stay in the official eVisa website to determine what Visa, if any, is required rather than relying on non-official websites which may not be up to date.

Without a valid visa, she will not be able to enter Thailand. She should have purchased a re-entry permit before she left. It's odd that the travel agency didn't arrange this or at least notify her.
